Sandra Bouza is a Hamilton, Ontario native who credits much of her musical indoctrination to her mother. Mom had a great record collection, loved to sing and play the guitar and encouraged her children to sing also. Sandra learned to play the piano, at times using a hand-drawn keyboard when the real instrument wasn’t available. She began performing publicly while still in school, but it was only while she was studying for her master’s in museum studies at St. Andrews University in Scotland that it began to dawn on her that music was a far greater passion. Things really crystallized for her during her three-year stay in Morocco to play music. That’s where she met Kevin Cummings whom she calls her “musical brain twin.” The songs on her album Falling Away From Me not only reveal a passionate and soulful vocalist, but also a gifted and personal songwriter.
