Formed in in Pittsburgh in the fall of 2014, The Commonheart started out as a 5-piece band fronted by Clinton Clegg. In time, the band’s lineup doubled to include singers, trumpet, sax and keys in order to give a real soul flavor. Their reputation as one of Pittsburgh’s hottest up and coming live acts quickly grew and spread well beyond the city limits.
Randy Baumann of WDVE radio put it this way: “he won't stop till the roof comes down,” and the appreciative sold-out hometown crowd who recently witnessed them opening for Gary Clark Jr. agreed. The Commonheart make their debut appearance at this year’s Festival.
